Question re IPL and crowds

Last night i got to watch a little of an IPL match with the Royals (Well
Warne's team .. i think it was the Roiyals) and Knight Riders (I hope not a
reference to the old TV Show)

I Didn't make it till the end, but got to the last 6 overs of the match

Anyhow, I noticed a huge amount of vacant seats at the ground, and
considering its a small ground (well compared to the MCG) and with the
passion the Indians have for the game, would there be any reason why the
ground wouldn't be packed to the rafters ?

The only thing i came up with was becasue of the heat (they were talking
44c at the game)

Also there were some nice interesting calls on a catch and run out.

One thing i did notice real quick was the quality of the broadcast
pictures, compared to what we see televised from the australian grounds.
Brilliant.

Hopefully they'll have a few more games on early.

No idea. But what umpires do they have? Local? I haven't seen any of it.
