Casio watch suggestion please

My Timex watch died a couple of weeks ago. At first, I thought it was
just a matter of getting a new battery but, unfortunately, that didn't
help. Looks like it's really dead.

This is my second Timex in the last seven years. The first one started
malfunctioning after a battery change - it would keep resetting itself
on my runs.

I'm now thinking of getting a new watch - most likely, a Casio. I
checked out amazon.com and they have a lot of Casios. Just wondering if
anyone here has had good experiences with a Casio and/or could give me a
recommendation.

Thanks,
jobs

Hi jobs,

I also made the Timex - Casio transition.

I wasn't looking for anything fancy - just basic laps and memory.
I went for the 60 lap model (W-752)... inexpensive and functional. I've had
it
about a year with no complaints. It claims to have a 10-year battery, but
I can't vouch for that....

Anthony.

Thanks Anthony. That's pretty much all I need - basic laps and memory. I
checked the W-752 on amazon.com. Unfortunately, it's unavailable. Most
of the other web links were to sites in Europe/Australia.

However, amazon does have a W-753 that looks quite similar to the W-752.
I might just go with that.

Thanks again,

Happy Casio STR-800 user here. 500 lap memory, great design.

Timex: just say no.

Thanks for the recommendation, Kaz.
I'll check it out. Though, I don't think I'll be needing 500 lap memory
anytime soon ;-)

What do you have against Timex ? I've had mine since 2002 ...
