Au revoir . . .a tout a l'heure

This isn't a dive trip. However, I will be immersing myself . . . in
history and culture.

I will have my picture taken with the Eiffel Tower in the background. I
will cruise down the Seine.
Mayhap I will wonder at Mona Lisa's smile and be amazed that the actual
painting is small.

I hope to eat snails and drink wine at Chateauneuf de Pape.

The sea at Nice will be too cool for swimming. Perhaps I'll lose some money
in Monaco.

I shall tread where Romans trod, at the theatre in Orange, and stare agog at
the Roman architectural ingenuity of Pont du Gard.

I must be one of the luckiest people I know.

A bientot, mes amis. Jeu gentil.

Big deal. I'm heading out Sunday to Vegas for 3 days where I'll see
the Eiffel Tower and lose money too. I'll cruise down the Strip and
wonder at Lady Luck's malicious grin. No snails, but we're planning
on sushi one night and Bobby Flay's Mesa Grill for Cinco de Mayo. At
least I won't have to put up with French people and the overpriced
Euro.

Which probably means something like, "Roll the dice and get me another

Or at least eat them with a lighter Burgundy, not a full bodied
Rhone. If I were a rich Canuck like Sherryl, I'd hire a wine-
knowledgeable starving American to accompany her as personal sommelier
and food taster. I don't need to taste the escargot, though, since
everyone already knows they taste just like snails.

Have a nice trip..

You might think that's lucky, but I'd enjoy repaying you for breakfast.

Do you speak French or is that a stupid question since you are in
Canada ? What is the currency exchange rate between Canada and
France now ? I'm sure you will have a good trip and I wish you do !!

Thanks, and it was good to talk to you.

I'll try and give a bit more notice next time.

I did a couple of "tour de france" by train, car and
motorbike and had a great time ;-).

I'll be looking forward to it.

May be a change of phone number in the not too distant future. I'll let you
know the new number when I've got one.

Keep me posted.

Odd as it is, as I become more familiar with this job, I take more and
more secondary roads to get from A to B.

So I'll cover more ground.

I'm in Roswell right now, doing the UFO thing. :-)

Then on to Durango -again-. :-)

Welcome to France.

If you're into antiques, the current exhibition in Paris about ancien
Babylon is reportedly well worth the detour (probably more than trying
to get a glimpse of Mona Lisa between groups of tourists in a cramped
room).
