| Just felt like posting something diveing related to this ng |
Just booked the plane tickets for July to Hamilton Is to meet my mates boat for a week of diving on the Great Barrier Reef. SWMBO and the screamers will spend the time on Daydream Island with the extended family and for me the waters of the GBR await. But I just couldn't get a flight schedule that made any sense, since I would have to fly in from Adelaide. So I consider the ship near Adelaide. Until I read the part where they were recommending full 7mm suits or dry suits. OTOH, the day we arrived in Adelaide (some time in mid April), it was 40 degrees or so and everybody was soaked in sweat. Some of the folks went off to see a football game (I assume it was the blood sport kind), but we just wandered around. I was kind of amused in Sydney to see many of the kerbs with little warnings "Look right before crossing". Bloody Yanks, I guess. |

I in fact find it easier driving in Europe and the States with the change in sides of the road than I do as a pedesterian. I always have to conciously look the "wrong" way before stepping off. But having said that golf carts and the electric cars around Dubbo Zoo don't ( the road you drive on is a public road and NSW road rules apply) |
