Hi, I'm looking for an online shop to order Omni-prep Rotary, shipping to France. Please advice. |

Try a google search on 'omni prep ski rotary.' Of the three choices, Akers is good and so is buying direct from Jenex, but requires a call. rm lo.dup@free.fr wrote: > Hi, > > I'm looking for an online shop to order Omni-prep Rotary, shipping to > France. > > Please advice. > |

Call V2 directly and order there. He will charge you less. Its a good product. Order two, one for fluoro waxed base prep and one for carbon waxed. The hand-operated Omni-prep work great and are cheaper. I am becoming more and more anti-rotary with time and experience. |

Thanks for the replies. > I am > becoming more and more anti-rotary with time and experience. Juste the reverse with me... Less time waxing, more time skiing. I bought a Kuzmin sickel an obtained fairly good glide results. So, I expect to finish beautifully the job with a rotary polishing tool. |

I think that no-wax way and no-hair-on-base way of glide offer the opportunity to use other (better) tools. Polishing with rotary brush is derived from removing wax. Current rotary tools are obvioulsy not optimal to actually remove hairs and bristle remnants from the base. The "entire industry" (to quote kuzmin) is using polishing tools, the other way. i e. vertical axis So, the question is : what would be the best polishing material ? Jenex Omi-prep ? or some polishing process such as done on plane plexiglass windshields ? This is exciting. An entire new way of base prep is born. |
