Exerts of Peanuts letters from home 0~;)

Son, sorry you couldn't find the house, we moved and the people we
bought the new place from took the house numbers with them so they
wouldn't have to change their address.

Your sister had a baby, don't know which sex yet but she said if she
ever had a girl....she was going to name it mom.

Forget that more bad news.....did you get the telegram about Uncle
Fingus drowning in the whiskey vat? Well two of his sons---yore first
cuzzins drown in the river yesterday...Jubal had just gotten his
driver license after finally getting out of the third grade, he's 16
now you know and bright....If I remember right you didn't graduate 3rd
grade until you were 20....Anyway he was hauling a load of shine to
help pay the fines Alabama is laying on us for burning Fingus's
remains in the front yard---Were selling our homemade whiskey over in
Birmingham now because none of the locals will buy it after Fingus got
cremated in the front yard, burned for three days then washed down in
the crick where we get the water to mix with the mash going into our
still---They believe his remains somehow ended up in the whiskey vat
again---Anyway Joe Don bob and Dub decided to go with him to guard the
load.......Jubal run off a bridge between here and Birmingham and fell
into a river....Jubal rolled down the drivers side window and escaped
but your two first cuzzins couldn't get the tailgate down and
drown.......... Ma

up at the Alabama State Capital might have their power back on & be

Oh thats right, they moved when you left to go to work----send it to
their last known address, the Post Office might be able to find
them...I can just see it now: The P.O.'s rural route carrier rides up
on his mule, somebody shouts "Guvment man!" and everybody scatters
chickens running to hide heh heh-----thats OK being used to dealing
with hillbilly's he will probably leave it out on the gate post. ;)P

Yeah the USN of my day had this slot called "in support" which could
be anything from a ship or T.F. backing up the main battle group to
supply ships....It was often used to describe personnel also.....such
as clerks, cooks and bottle washers and various HQ types - you know
everybody not out on the point of a spear or on a field team - they
often didn't attend the war fare schools or do any suffering but by
association with the elite they promote their selves to S.F. You

you left out some fellow that is called Phreezone, who is a moderator
over at the dz.com site. I believe,he said he was a SGM in one
group. But I won't insult the group.. It would be better IF he would

Never had any dealings with him....I have only known one Army SGM on a
first name basis and that was Bob Gilbert CSM (ret) of the RTB in
Benning, he hosted our CoVan reunion in ummmm must have been 1999.
Went back for the T152 reunion in 2000---Bob's a good guy, Ranger
during the Korean conflict, Ranger in Vietnam- - - -up in my area
attached to the Mike force-I inserted one of his LURP teams up on the
Cua Viet, you talk about war stories? His put my sea stories to
shame......We are beer drinking buddies... - ... Bobs the real deal,
not some USPA Commando. ;)P
