slot requiring a jump qualification did it all the time and they
didn't go to Benning to learn 30, 40 & 50 years ago, The USN tried to
keep most if not all training in house because they didn't like giving
any Navy money to the Army-----Notice the gravel circle to the right

Great shot! Heh, I had forgotten how low 1250 feet looks. Never jumped
at any Army DZ that looked that good, either! Until I made my first
HALO jump, I really thought that the dope rope was the cat's ass.

Well I asked if it was Radome.....can't tell with my old eyes....It's
probably a GCS
receiver-----I noticed it was blue but it could be a blue round
deflating parabolically in the center of a landing target-----
Regardless the Navy takes care of their LZ's, see how neat and

I remember a 10,000' dope rope jump over Hawaii with some Jarheads. I sat
in that harness for for what seemed like forever, wishing I'd thought to
bring a camera up with me. Nice view of the Island from up there.

Baghdad for the invasion, but they also jumped static line rounds into
Baghdad, but it was at night, so it must not be the image that you

Your little buddy Peter said it was HAHO S/L with squares somewhere in
Oz.
Looked like the one just off the ramp might have tan or brown desert
boots on but what the hell do I know, last time I wore USMC
boots.....they were the full leather
laceups....the black one's from the 60's----Didn't get Jungle boots
until I arrived in Saigon----And the army must have give them to me
because the Navy CoVans were attached to MACV. Got one of those stupid
looking Beetle Baily base ball caps the US Army favored in the 1960's
with the issue...A Marine
armorer up in I Corps said "Jesus, deep six that stupid cap.....you
look like a fucking idiot!" and gave me a 311 issue cloth cap which I
kept because it soaked up sweat in the bush pretty good. Then a USN
Commander over at NAG 143 slapped a black beret with a 9027 flash in
my hand and said......Never forget who or what you are sailor! ;)

The 2nd Jpeg hyperlink sez USMC but you can't prove it by me, he's got
that new cammo on----it looks kind of binary with some resemblance to
the spotted Cammo
WWII Marines wore in the jungles of the pacific.....The boots are
brown desert boots for sure but Peters lead in says Jar heads over
Nowra New South Wales doing fully loaded HAHO with squares.....Does
the ANZAC have Marines? And if not where does he get off calling U.S.
Marines jar heads? He wasn't in the US Navy, thats our right. Ahem & I
hate to bring it up Chuck but you notice the fearless Navy vet is out
front pointing the way for a timid Marine vet who's afraid to open
hyper links, just like the old days.....The Navy has to carry the

I've given that some thought, If he had sent you a personal hyper via
e-mail for you alone to click and you got ripped off------that boat
might float.

His fellow Ozzies don't think much of him from the yowling they were
doing about what a Wanker he was several years ago but, thats city
people for you......Their packed together like rats and get kind of
irritable and unforgiving. I went to the big VA down in Houston once,
the trip was a bitch. Everybody driving around like they were pissed
off at the world trying to run over each other. I could see they were
stressed.
