CI incorrectly shows the no. of fours and sixes as one each. Anyone
knows the correct figure?

out (114 balls, 3x4, 3x6), with the last ball a six off Chetan Sharma
on April 18, 1986 at Sharjah for a very improbable win over India by
one wicket, or that Saleem Malik's 72 not out (36 balls, 11x4, 1x6)
demolishing Kapil Dev at Eden Gardens, Calcutta, Feb 18, 1987,
reaching his fifty in only 23 balls with nine fours and one six, and
earning Pakistan a two-wicket win with three balls to spare after
Pakistan were 161/5 at an asking rate of over 8 runs an over.

I saw both those innings on TV.

I think Malik's was the most crushing innings I've ever seen. The
level of domination was more
than even what those stunning stats suggest.

I think that was the time where Pak would beat India pretty much every
ODI they played. Wait a
minute they still do :-)

yep it was an awesome knock.

I like his batting. a lovely player against spin, I luv the way he
would leave the stumps and either cut or square drive (the best square
driver of spin I have seen) the ball . and he would hook off the front
foot as well.

It was 35 balls and the person who most suffered was Maninder Singh;
Saleem hit him for 19 in one over and followed it up with 16 off
Kapil's next over with 4 spanking boundaries. The most vivid memory I
had of Kapil's over was that it took him well over 5 minutes to bowl
it as his field placings kept on faling! Prior to Maninder's 19 run
over nighmare Pakistan needed 65 to win off 6 overs with 4 wickets in
hand. I was about to turn the radio off prior to that blitzkrieg

Actually the current set of WI batsmen have done pretty well against
India. Its the bowli
