Not everyone likes the circus. The reality is that the players want to do both, and in the future they will probably be able to do both without being double-booked. In the meantime, the poor results achieved by the returning IPL players in NZ's warm-up match against the useless county Essex seem to indicate that they need some more time to acclimatise to local conditions, which is why they have been required to turn up in England in good time to adapt. Anybody who says the players don't need to acclimatise and/or that playing T20 is a useful warm-up for Test match cricket has some vested interest affecting their judgement (money in the case of the players, trolling for Roshan). Vettori bowled eight overs in two weeks at the IPL. Andrew
