BAFTAs

The British Film and Television Awards nearly gave a prize to the TV
coverage of this year's Boat Race.

Was just wondering what I missed, by being out marching, that was so
good?

It's not what you missed; it's what they missed: the most important few
seconds of the entire race, as far as I can see. My post at

describes the problem as I saw it.

And the BAFTA for best coverage of a waters sports event between two
nine hundred year old universities held in March goes to.....

Re: BAFTAs

I've looked at a series of photos taken by one of the photographers in
the launches following the race. At the point where Oxford pulled
away, as far as I can see, there was nothing that caused Cambridge a
problem - it really does look as if Oxford simply powered away, so
there was nothing out of the ordinary for the TV cameras to see.

So if they hadn't missed a few seconds they should have won?
