| Cruise the Caribbean on a budget |
One third share in a Southern Cross 31 for sale. £8,500 ono. Currently based in Tortola, BVI. See http://www.trumphurst.com/autumnrosefor details. [It _is_ OK to put this kind of advert in here, isn't it? It is a private sale, not one of those timeshare companies.] -- Nikki Locke, Trumphurst Ltd. It's OK by me Nikki, She looks really great, but I fear I am too old for the responsibility of owning a share at a distance. However, I would think you will have no trouble in selling. Good luck -- Yours Quilly, http://quilljar.users.btopenworld.com/ |

I agree - rather wasted in the Caribbean - I had noticed that the upholstery was looking a bit tired but the colour is immaterial. I would have liked to see more of the mast step and chain plates but that hull is designed to rule a straight line clean across the chart. Oh, I'd want a second water tank on her and bigger bower, pref. a fisherman. The surveyor found nothing wrong with the mast step. > Oh, I'd want a second water tank on her and bigger bower, pref. a fisherman. A second water tank would be a good idea for blue water cruising (but not really necessary for pottering about the Virgin Islands). Personally I see no reason for a bigger bower, unless you are intending to anchor on rock or in a hurricane. There is already too much weight in the bows, IMHO (although you could easily move the chain aft if going on a long voyage). Although there is rather a nice spade lying on the bottom in about 2.5 metres in Trellis Bay, if you really want one! I rejected it as too big for our boat, but it sounds like it would suit you :-) Even in the Caribbean, it is very comforting to be in a proper boat when it is blowing 30 knots plus gusts, with 12 ft. waves. Admittedly it doesn't happen very often. -- Nikki Locke, Trumphurst Ltd. PC & Unix consultancy & programming nikki@trumphurst.com http://www.trumphurst.com/ |
