Vaughan vs Sidebottom and Broad

Dear All,

Quite a stalemate (?) yesterday at Headlingley, 51/1 off 30.2 overs:
Vaughan 25 off 81 balls against tight stuff from Sidebottom, Broad, Shreck
and Ealham. Sidebottom's first 7 overs were maidens!

Will be interesting to see how this unfolds this morning.

Richard

In his first spell, Sidebottom bowled seven maidens at Sayers and then
one over at Vaughan - off which Vaughan scored nine runs.

Yup.

Ahh - very interesting. Vaughan century today then !

Intrigued to see how Broad gets on in particular. He's obviously "got
it" but is yet to really run through a side (which I would class as
getting more than 5 wickets in an innings). Mind you, Flintoff has
never done that either !!

At least that's better than the run of "promising 20s" he seems to
have been stuck on lately.
