Ocala Mike
Gulfstream Casino/Racino

Does anyone know if there are any rooms available for an overnight
stay? I'm thinking of taking a trip there next month.

If not, can anyone (wolfagain?) recommend a reasonable (less than a
bill) place to stay for one night (weekday) in Hollywood/Hallandale/Ft.
Lauderdale?

Thanks.

Ocala Mike

Hear you Mike! Best Deal I know of puts you about 4 miles from GP.
Motel 6 on Dania Beach Blvd. Stayed there 3 weeks last year. Rates:
About $50 a night except Fri. and Sat. then $55. No frills but it does
have a pool and real nice people run the place. You can drive to GP in
about 15 minuets unless roads are all torn up with construction. Often
the case. Drive south to the beach then south to Hallendale Blvd. Then
north about a mile. AVOID driving on U.S.1 aka Federal hywy. Motel 6
can be booked online. Save even more. maybe. There's actually nothing
close to GP except REAL old Mom and Pop Motels at about the same price.

Correction! Drive EAST to the beach! then south. If you check in to
that Motel Tell them you know the Wolf from Michigan and you will get
"The friends of the Wolf rate" ADD $10! Just kidding of course. The
Wolf is always REALLY nice to Motel staff mostly the maids! Just
something I learned a long time ago.
