Horseracing Is the Sport thriving or Dying??

Hey what is up guys just wondering what the horseracing fans out there
think, I love horseracing and have been a big fan. I think the triple
crown is getting more popular each year so I believe that is a great
sign. I also know that Fairmount park that is local to me out in
Illinois is trying to put in Slots to compete with the gambling boats.
Where do you see the future of simulcast and racetracks?

Happy Handicapping

I would LIKE to be positive, but the leadership is so fragmented with
this ALL for me attitude, that ultimately, unless there is substantial
change, the sport will suffer from major downsizing in order to survive.

If you want to see the new state of horse racing just go to www.gulfstreampark.com
and see very little about the sport but a lot about casino gambling
and some really DUMB 'Frank's Energy Model Search Contest' b.s.!
Asshole Frank Stronach first DESTROYS a beautiful classic race track
then BASTARDIZES the sport! Shame!

Joe, one way to look at it is that this used to be an active horse fan
group, now there is mostly spam, one constant poster, and an occasional old
timer visits once in a while. So where's the new blood with the questions
about racing ? Where's the back and forth banter about who is the best
horse, best jock, etc ? The future is the slots, not the ponies. People want
something quick and mindless to gamble on, otherwise it is too much like
work.
